| Job Description: |
Senior User Interface (UI)/User Experience (UX) Designer will support the Office of Advancement to ensure a quality user experience for the web and digital properties of LUMS.
The person will be mainly responsible for gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components. To be successful in this role, the candidate should have experience with design software and wireframe tools. Preference will be given to candidates who have a portfolio of professional design projects that include work with web/mobile applications.
Ultimately, the candidate will create both functional and Graphical User Interface (GUI) features that address LUMS clients’ needs and help elevate the LUMS brand.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the LUMS website, mobile application and cross platform integration for third party tools
- Conduct periodic audits of the website, standardize design templates to gather and evaluate end-user journey and experience
- Develop timelines for approved revisions and iterations to the website/mobile applications and coordinate with the Information Systems and Technology (IST) department at LUMS to ensure seamless execution
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Ensure an interactive design implementation that allows capturing website visitor information and develop effective inbound marketing tools
- Responsible for the navigation of all web properties of LUMS, including graphic user interface elements, menus, tabs, and widgets
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look
- Proficient in front end language to develop contemporary and responsive web designs (CSS, HTML5 and JS)
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
- Adherence to deadlines as specified by the Supervisor/ HOD
- Perform other related duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position as and when assigned by the Supervisor/ HOD
Work Schedule:
Work hours often extend into the evenings and weekends to accommodate the needs of the current workload and event schedules. Flexibility and commitment is a must.

May be required, depending on departmental objectives |
