| Job Description: |
- Handle day-to-day logistics or shipping-related matters.
- Handle Air & Sea Shipments.
- Handling / Negotiation with freight forwarders, Shipping Lines and Local Transporters.
- Organizing all transportation needs for the Shipment.
- Officer will need to find good shipping companies and negotiate with companies who will convey the goods for the best prices obtainable.
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals.
- Reconciling issues with agents and Suppliers to ensure that work isn’t hindered as a result of unresolved disputes.
- You will be required to efficiently evaluate the costs of shipments, services and inventory within any budget or distribution strategy.
- Coordinate with Import, Export, Marketing, and production to make cost effective inbound and outgoing deliveries.
- Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost.
- Ensure consignments are being delivered in time & relevant payments are being processed in timely manner.
- Prepare, update, and maintain the required documentation.
- Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly Maintain supply chain inventory and records.
- Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes Resolve issues that come up (e.g. delays in delivery).
- Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth.
- Preparing necessary reports, Approvals, and notices e.g., arrival notices and feedback.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills are required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills.
