Job Description:

Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation  We are seeking qualified and highly motivated applicants for: Timergara Lower Dir project.

General objectives of the position:

To support the medical team in reducing the mortality and morbidity in the area by improving health-seeking and healthy behaviour of the community. More specifically, the health promoter encourages the population to use the available, accessible and quality primary health care provided by MSF, in partnership with Timergara Department of Health.

Key responsibilities:

  • Promotion of healthy behaviour in the targeted community / areas
  • Promotion of MSF health services
  • Community health data / information collection
  • Contextually adapt health education messages
  • Assist in two-way communication in between patients/attendants and hospital staff

Local applicants must obtain NOC from the MS Timergara DHQ as well as from the DHO.
