Job Description:

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:  

  • Establish user needs and monitor access and security, including controlling access permissions.
  • Monitor performance, manage parameters for fast response times, and carry out capacity planning.
  • Map out the conceptual design for a planned database.
  • Commission and install new applications, customize existing ones, and consider both data organization and user accessibility.
  • Refine the logical design for specific data modeling and install and test new DBMS versions.
  • Maintain data standards, including data protection act compliance, and write database documentation.
  • Develop, manage, and test backup and recovery plans while managing database security and disaster recovery aspects.
  • Communicate regularly with technical, operational staff, and collaborate with IT project managers, database programmers, and multimedia programmers.
