Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care to patients under the supervision of Consultants.
• Manage both routine and high-risk pregnancies, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
• Conduct gynaecological examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
• Manage obstetric and gynaecological emergencies effectively and efficiently.
• Conduct regular ward rounds, document patient progress accurately, and ensure timely communication with the Consultant.
• Participate actively in outpatient clinics, providing consultation and follow-up care.

Educational Duties:

• Supervise and mentor junior residents and medical students in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
• Conduct clinical teaching sessions, case presentations, and participate in departmental academic activities (e.g., journal clubs, seminars).
• Contribute to the development of educational materials and curricula for undergraduate and postgraduate training.
• Provide constructive feedback to junior trainees.

Administrative Duties:

• Assist in the organisation and management of the department's clinical activities, including scheduling and resource allocation.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, protocols, and quality standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and morbidity/mortality meetings.
• Contribute to departmental meetings and administrative tasks as required.

Research Activities (Encouraged):

• Participate in clinical research projects within the department.
• Contribute to the collection, analysis, and interpretation of research data.
• Assist in the preparation of research papers and presentations for conferences and publications.
