| Job Description: |
The Pharmacy Technician assists licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of pharmaceutical procedures, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in preparing, labeling, and dispensing medications.
- Accurately enter prescription information into the pharmacy system.
- Measure, mix, count, and package medications as per prescriptions.
- Verify prescription details and ensure correct dosages.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of medications and supplies.
- Provide information on medication usage, side effects, and storage under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Compounding medication in accordance with the prescription.
- Follow infection control procedures and ensure a clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- Inter in Science with a Pharmacy Technician diploma recognized by the Pharmacy Council.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience required.
